- Great ideasI wanted ideas on different fireplaces and this book did a great job. I do not think any fireplaces were left out. This is a nice book to dream through. - A good book for planning for a fireplaceWe got this book because we are putting in a backyard fireplace and this book was a great help. - fire place designCopyright in year 2000. I was looking for a more current design which would include a flat screen TV. It's an ok book if you only want basic fire place decorating. - Excellent resourceThis is a great book - beautiful pictures, but excellent information as well. Best book on fireplaces I've seen - Ok but not as comprehensive as I was hopingI was excited to find this book but once it arrived I was a bit disappointed in it. It has tons of photos of a variety of fireplaces, inside and out, exaplins the different types well but I was looking for more information on unique fireplaces, ones which could be placed in the center of a room. So if you're wanting a more traditional fireplace setting, this book might be great.
